Piombaia was born from the union of the Rossi family (from Montalcino) and the Cantini Family (from Pisa). For three generations the two families have driven the farm where at present day Francesco, Cecilia and Vittorio Cantini are taking care of it and were able to make the most of the growth of the Brunello di Montalcino wine while having at the same time great respect for their land and it's vital natural cycles which brought them to apply the principals of biodynamic agriculture at present time.
